The Language and My Story... I'm Tomás. I'm from Armagh. I'm interested in music, especially heavy music. I like anything different, dark or anything with Irish. I'm self-employed and a sole trader. I was interested in Irish when I was young but I'm very passionate about it these days. 

Before I thought Irish was a hobby. However, I was so wrong to my shame. I didn't believe I could live through Irish in Armagh. I thought I would have to move to the Gaeltacht, but I was wrong again. Speaking the language is life. Anywhere. 

I've been doing night classes for years but one day, I started a Diploma in Irish with the University of Ulster. During the course I realised that I could make a life through Irish but I had to take the opportunity! I made a promise to myself, I had to make a big effort. I would change my life.
